The Alberta JDC West team was very well represented at MIBC with the team consisting of Not-for-Profit Captain Sean Collins, Debate Captain Tyler Dahlseide, Debate team member/VP External Paul Natland, and business student Ricky Soni. The competition included schools such as the University of Southern California, the University of British Columbia and the University of Norway.

This internationally acclaimed case competition is hosted by the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. MIBC gives students an incredibly short 4 page case, and 60 hours to research, formulate and develop a strong business case. The case focused on how Dell Computers could expand their market share in countries such as India, Russia, China, and Brazil. Students have 60 hours to develop a proposal and strategy, then a short two minutes present their ideas to a large number of Dell executives who then have 25 minutes to ask the team questions about their solution. In the final round the question and answer period is a grueling 45 minutes with 20 judges from various backgrounds.
